The suggester says: I adore the contrast the blood-red shoes make with the dismal rest, the way we seem to be stepping up to the edge of the life we know to catch a glimpse of no place and our own shadowy reflection rises up to meet and mock us...this painting speaks to me of uncertainty and limits and what we find when we slip out of the world we know...
